On the 23rd, real estate information platform Dabang said that based on actual transaction prices from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the average monthly rent for studio units in multiplex and multi-family housing (exclusive area of 33 square meters or less) in Seoul was tallied at 710,000 won. The average jeonse deposit was 213.86 million won.
Compared with the previous month, monthly rent rose 5.2% (40,000 won), while the jeonse deposit fell 0.4% (830,000 won).
By district, the average monthly rent for studio units was highest in Gangnam District (1 million won). It was followed by Seocho District and Seongdong District (860,000 won each), Yongsan District (840,000 won), Jungnang District (820,000 won), Gwangjin District (770,000 won), Dongdaemun District (760,000 won), Gangseo District (720,000 won), and Yeongdeungpo District (710,000 won).
The average jeonse deposit was highest in Seocho District at 267.32 million won, followed by Jung District (256.28 million won), Gangnam District (253.61 million won), Gwangjin District (241.51 million won), Dongjak District (238.74 million won), Yongsan District (235.88 million won), Yeongdeungpo District (226.23 million won), Mapo District (223.01 million won), and Dongdaemun District (215.83 million won).
For this survey, the average monthly rent was tallied based on transactions with a monthly rent deposit below 100 million won, and the average jeonse deposit was tallied based on all jeonse transactions.
