GS Engineering & Construction said on the 22nd that its lighting products planned as Xi brand goods, "magDot" and "IGNIS," were named winners in the product design category at the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026.
magDot is a high-performance magnetic light inspired by the light source of a hidden lighting system, a ceiling light used in apartment units. It can be used for reading on a desk or shelf. With a wrist strap and key ring, it can be hung on a bag or tent and used as an outdoor pendant light or safety light.
IGNIS, which also won, is a portable table lamp that reinterprets the analog experience of lighting a candle as a modern lighting solution. The name was inspired by Xi's rebranding keyword, "Re-ignite." With a wireless structure and USB-C charging, it can be placed freely without cable constraints. With a color temperature of 3000K, it creates the warm and comfortable atmosphere of candlelight.
A GS Engineering & Construction official said, "This award is significant in that a brand strategy expanding Xi's accumulated sensorial experience within spaces into everyday life has been recognized for its competitiveness on the global design stage."
