Lotte Construction said on the 19th that it won the bid on the 18th for the redevelopment of the Yongho District 3 reconstruction project in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, worth about 396.7 billion won.
The Changwon Yongho District 3 reconstruction and maintenance project will rebuild the Yongho Muhak Apartment at 67-2 Yongho-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, to create six apartment buildings from four floors underground to 38 floors above ground, totaling 1,048 households, along with ancillary welfare facilities.
Lotte Construction plans to build a sky terrace with views of both Yongji Park and Bansong Park nearby. Centered on a central gallery reminiscent of a large outdoor art museum within the complex, the company will add various theme parks and a circular walking trail up to 1 kilometer long to bring art and relaxation into residents' daily lives.
Yongho District 3 is adjacent to Yongho Elementary School, Yongnam Elementary School, Bansong Middle School, and Changwon Yongho High School, allowing students to walk to school from elementary through high school. Residents can also easily access Yongji Park, a landmark of Changwon. In addition, various administrative and lifestyle infrastructure such as Changwon City Hall, Lotte Department Store Changwon branch, Changwon Sports Park, and Changwon Convention Center can be used conveniently.
A Lotte Construction official said, "The Yongho-dong area of Changwon has a solid industrial base and high residential preference, so maintenance projects are active," and added, "We will complete Yongho District 3, which we won this time, as a signature residential complex representing the area."
With this contract, following the reconstruction of the Garak Geukdong Apartment in Songpa-gu, Seoul (484 billion won) and the redevelopment of Geumho District 21 in Seongdong-gu (624.2 billion won), Lotte Construction achieved a cumulative 1.5049 trillion won in urban maintenance project orders this year.
