Dongbu Corporation said on the 17th it has completed construction of "Korea Football Park," the Korea Football Association's new soccer hub.
Korea Football Park is a soccer-focused complex built in Gasan-ri, Ibjang-myeon, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province. Dongbu Corporation served as the sole contractor and completed the project successfully.
Korea Football Park has a site area of 115,433㎡ and a total floor area of 35,409㎡, featuring an outdoor stadium, an indoor stadium, player accommodations, and support facilities. It includes six 68m×105m soccer pitches, one 100m×100m training ground, and parking for 296 vehicles. The Korea Football Association held an official opening ceremony on the 7th and began full operations.
The project goes beyond building a simple sports facility to establish a new base camp for Korean soccer where national team training, youth development, coach education, sports science, and community sports activities take place in one space. The Korea Football Association also plans to use Korea Football Park as a core hub for Korean soccer to advance scientific training systems and development models.
A Dongbu Corporation official said the project stably realized a complex sports infrastructure that combines stadiums, indoor training facilities, accommodation buildings, and community functions.
In particular, Korea Football Park was built as a soccer-specialized facility that blends top-tier training environments, recovery support amenities, stay-type accommodations, and spectator convenience. Focusing on enhancing the functionality and finish of each facility, Dongbu Corporation concentrated its capabilities on creating a space that supports the long-term competitiveness of Korean soccer.
Dongbu Corporation has extensive experience constructing sports and cultural facilities, including expansion and remodeling of Jeonju World Cup Stadium and Suwon Baseball Stadium. The company has recently carried out construction to build an Olympic sports complex, adding to its track record in large-scale sports infrastructure.
A Dongbu Corporation official said, "Korea Football Park is a symbolic project that embodies the future of Korean soccer, and we successfully completed it by leveraging Dongbu Corporation's experience in building complex sports facilities and its quality control capabilities," adding, "we plan to continue demonstrating differentiated construction capabilities across various public, cultural, and sports infrastructure projects."
