DL E&C said on the 17th that it won the contract for the "new headquarters construction project for Korean Reinsurance Company" at 80, Susong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. The construction cost is 398.2 billion won.
The new headquarters project for global reinsurer Korean Reinsurance Company aims to revitalize the area by advancing the work environment and expanding downtown green and cultural spaces.
The new headquarters will be built on a site area of 7,260㎡ with a total floor area of 112,600㎡, spanning eight floors underground to 21 floors above ground. Construction will start next month, with completion as a prime office slated for Jul. 2030. In particular, the building will include a 510-seat concert hall and more than 2,600㎡ of open green space. This is expected to serve not only as a downtown landmark but also as a cultural and green complex facility.
DL E&C has successfully built prime offices in Seoul's central business district (CBD), including "Gwanghwamun D Tower" and "Namdaemun Grand Central." Through this project, the company plans to create a new downtown landmark that goes beyond a simple workspace to encompass culture and rest.
A DL E&C official said, "The new headquarters construction for Korean Reinsurance Company is an opportunity to showcase DL E&C's high-end architectural technology and high-quality construction capabilities," adding, "We will do our best to complete it as a landmark prime office in the CBD."
