Hansung University said on the 17th that its general graduate school will recruit new master's and doctoral students in the Department of Economics and Real Estate for the second half of 2026.
Online applications will be accepted from the 15th to the 27th of this month (except the 22nd–23rd) through Uway Apply. Interviews will be held on the 16th of next month.
The general graduate school at Hansung University consists of the doctoral program in the Department of Economics and Real Estate with a major in real estate economics, and the master's program in the Department of Economics with a major in real estate economics. Both programs concentrate classes into one Saturday so working professionals can pursue their degrees while keeping their jobs.
Each semester, students are also offered academic seminars and opportunities to participate in international academic conferences that reflect real estate and economic trends at home and abroad. A networking program is also run to meet active professionals across fields, including construction companies, architects, developers, financial institutions, licensed real estate agents, certified public accountants, and appraisers.
Professor Kwon Dae-jung, who has moved between the field and academia for over 40 years, also left Sogang University to take a post as a distinguished professor in the Department of Economics and Real Estate at the general graduate school of Hansung University. Having spent over 20 years at Myongji University and then at Sogang University, Kwon is an authority in the real estate field and the first Korean real estate scholar to receive the Order of Service Merit.
Kwon said, "Real estate studies is a practical discipline that can be directly applied to everyday life and an empirical, experience-based field," adding, "As a comprehensive social science that blends architecture, urban studies, economics, and business administration, it must not lean toward any single area." Kwon added, "At the general graduate school of Hansung University, we will produce practitioners with strong practical skills grounded in theory."
