Samsung C&T's construction division (hereinafter Samsung C&T) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital and will build an ecosystem for hyper-personalized wellness solutions experienced in daily life.
Samsung C&T said on the 15th that on the 14th in Pyeong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, it signed a "joint research MOU for the development of wellness and home healthcare products and services" with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital. Attending the signing ceremony were Lee Ju-yong, head of the DxP Division at Samsung C&T (executive vice president), Cho Hye-jung, head of the DxP Headquarters (executive vice president), Jeon Won-sang, administrative vice president of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, and Kang Jae-heon, head of the Future Healthcare Headquarters, along with other key officials from both sides.
Samsung C&T's "AI wellness solution," slated for release in the second half of this year, expands the company's accumulated digital experience innovation know-how (Homeniq and Bynd) into the hyper-personalized wellness realm. It integrates an individual's physical, nutrition, and emotional data in everyday spaces into a single app and offers AI coaching and customized meal plans. The company also plans to build infrastructure in offline spaces such as apartment communities and offices to measure personal health data and, based on that, enable purchases of customized healthy meals and AI mind care.
Through the MOU, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital's chronic disease prediction AI model will be applied to Samsung C&T's AI wellness solution, and the parties will promote demonstrations of the "AI prediction model and agentic coaching" and "joint R&D of future home healthcare products and services." By doing so, Samsung C&T plans to apply Kangbuk Samsung Hospital's medical expertise and the nation's largest health screening dataset to the AI wellness solution to deliver more professional and meaningful health insights.
Lee Ju-yong, head of the DxP Division at Samsung C&T (executive vice president), said, "We plan to seize the wellness ecosystem by extending the digital experience innovations proven in the residential Homeniq and the building-use Bynd into the wellness domain," adding, "This will serve as an inflection point for Samsung C&T to evolve into a lifestyle provider that enhances users' quality of life and experiences within spaces."
