Bando E&C said on the 13th that the Goyang Janghang construction site it is building was selected as an on-site training venue for the safety and health academy for specialty contractors organized by the Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office.
The Goyang Janghang site is a large mixed-use residential complex of about 1,700 households where Bando E&C's premium residential brand "KAIVE UBORA" and premium retail brand "Time" (時間) are being applied for the first time. A Bando E&C official said that because the construction site is large, the difficulty of construction is on the higher side.
Bando E&C conducted its own risk assessment competition across all sites under construction nationwide, including the Goyang Janghang site, and carried out dissemination and training on exemplary cases. At the "2025 excellent cases presentation competition on risk assessment" hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA), the Goyang Janghang site won the grand prize in the construction category among 259 sites nationwide.
The Goyang Janghang site was selected as an on-site training venue for the safety and health academy for specialty contractors organized by the Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office. The Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office prepared this training course to help prevent fatal accidents by strengthening safety management capabilities and fostering the ability to build self-regulatory prevention systems among specialty contractors with insufficient safety and health management systems.
The field observation training at the Goyang Janghang site is a required course within the safety and health academy training prepared as a two-week program in total for CEOs of 30 specialty contracting firms selected by the Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office.
Lee Se-hyung, Bando E&C's Goyang Janghang site manager, conducted training for the visiting CEOs through a demonstration of the risk assessment that previously won the grand prize.
Lee Jeong-ryeol, head of construction at Bando E&C, said, "We hope the safety and health management system achieved through continuous technology development with partner firms and joint practice of safety management on site will help other construction industry workers," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to create a safe on-site working environment where we can grow together based on co-prosperity management."
