Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on the 8th that it has introduced, for the first time among public institutions, a subscription service for built-in appliances in public rental housing to improve residential satisfaction among tenants.
The service was prepared to significantly enhance tenant convenience and maintenance efficiency for built-in products in rental housing by reflecting the latest housing trend that is expanding from "ownership" to "subscription."
The three target items are air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, and tenant convenience in using appliances has been further improved by subscribing to and installing products that include smart care functions based on artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).
Through the service, tenants can conveniently receive free A/S support without any separate management burden. In addition to remotely controlling the appliances through the smart care function, signs of malfunction can also be easily identified. Tenants can also use annual in-unit visit care services for performance checks, cleaning, sterilization, and other hygiene management.
LH signed a subscription service contract with LG Electronics in February. After first promoting the project for 28 integrated public rental housing complexes and 5,400 units scheduled to start construction this year, the company plans to gradually expand both the target items and the target complexes for the subscription service.
Oh Ju-heon, head of LH Public Housing Division, said, "This built-in appliance subscription service is a housing service innovation to increase the convenience and satisfaction of tenants," adding, "We will continue to expand a variety of services that reflect the latest housing trends."
