Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) said on the 6th it will promote anonymous reporting of wrongdoing to spread a culture of integrity. In addition to the existing anonymous reporting center, it introduced an "online CEO hotline" and an "offline integrity communication mailbox" to create a system that allows employees to deliver their opinions directly to the head of the institution.
HUG's anonymous reporting of wrongdoing can be filed by anyone for cases such as improper involvement by former employees, employee abuse of power, and suspected receipt of money, entertainment, or rebates. HUG's anonymous reporting system does not require membership registration to file a report, and IPs are not tracked. The reporter's contact information is also not collected.
HUG said it will eradicate various corrupt acts that undermine the spread of an integrity culture and public trust and will do its utmost to protect public-interest whistleblowers.
