The Gaewunsan Village street housing maintenance project association said on the 27th that it unveiled its own apartment brand, "Commons," and held a brand opening ceremony. The Gaewunsan Village maintenance project will build up to 20 stories above ground with 130 households at 81-188, Jongam-dong, Seongbuk District, Seoul, and will create 18 of the total units as the country's first wooden-structure apartments.
About 80 people attended the brand opening ceremony, including association members and executives and employees from participating companies such as HanmiGlobal, the project management company; Gansam Architects & Partners, the design firm; Bomi Construction, the builder; and The Watermelon, the brand marketing house.
With this brand announcement, the 130 Gaewunsan Village apartments currently under construction will be named "Commons Jongam." The association plans to expand the Commons brand to other areas to present a new housing model and community culture.
Association head Lee Won-hyung said, "Through the Commons brand, we aim to propose a new housing philosophy that views apartments as an asset of the resident community," and added, "Starting with Gaewunsan Village, we hope community-based maintenance projects and apartment operation models will spread."
