Infrastructure asset management specialist YIDO said on the 27th that it received final approval for a solar power project in Dangjin, South Chungcheong.
YIDO said on the 27th that it recently obtained final approval for a 20MW solar power project in the Jeokseo-ri area through South Chungcheong Province's development review and Dangjin City's permits. A YIDO official said, "Including the 50MW in Saseong-ri now under construction, we have secured a total of 70MW in eco-friendly power assets across Daehogimyeon, Dangjin."
Earlier, in January, YIDO preemptively secured grid access by signing a transmission use agreement, and it plans to complete the detailed design and begin phased construction. The target for commercial operation (COD) is Feb. 2027.
This project is a key pillar of an integrated energy platform strategy that links solar, wind, BESS (energy storage system), and data centers. Based on the 70MW in Dangjin, it is expanding to rooftop, parking-lot, and floating types, while also pushing ahead in parallel with a 400MW offshore wind project in Ongjin County, Incheon.
The data center is being developed with a 50MW power intake capacity, and it is simultaneously securing power expense stability and operational efficiency through a structure that directly consolidations energy production and consumption. Based on this, it has built competitiveness to structurally resolve power supply stability, a core challenge for the AI industry.
In addition, through a business structure that directly handles the entire process from site selection to financing and energy design, it is expanding an infrastructure asset portfolio capable of continuous cash generation beyond simple development.
The project has completed attracting additional investors and, based on this, plans to move forward with project financing (PF). It intends to secure both revenue stability and growth through long-term contract structures tied to future capacity expansion.
