GS Engineering & Construction said on the 27th that it will join "Earth Hour 2026."
Earth Hour is the world's largest climate crisis response campaign organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), a nonprofit conservation organization. To share the seriousness of climate change and contribute to energy saving and reducing carbon emissions, lights are turned off for one hour from 8:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March every year since 2007.
GS Engineering & Construction plans to turn off the lights for one hour from 8:30 p.m. on the 28th at Gran Seoul, its headquarters building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and at Seocho Tower, which houses its R&D Center, as well as at its subsidiaries Xi S&D, Xi C&A, and Elysian Gangchon and Jeju.
GS Group affiliates, including GS Tower, GS Neotek Building, Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas, Westin Seoul Parnas, and Nine Tree by Parnas, will also take part in the event at each location.
A GS Engineering & Construction official said, "Through participation in Earth Hour, we will actively engage in eco-friendly campaigns such as climate change policy, energy saving, and reducing carbon emissions."
