HDC Hyundai Development Company officially changed its name to IPARK Hyundai Development Company.
IPARK Hyundai Development Company held a regular shareholders meeting at its headquarters building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 26th and approved five agenda items as originally proposed, including the name change.
Accordingly, the former HDC Hyundai Development Company changed its name to IPARK Hyundai Development Company as of the day. It comes about a month after it released its plan to change the name at the end of Feb.
Nine affiliates in the group's life (lifestyle) institutional sector, including Hyeonsan, will change their names by putting IPARK (I'Park) at the forefront instead of HDC Holdings Co.
Specifically, they are IPARK Hyundai Development Company, IPARK I&C, IPARK Mall, IPARK Shilla Duty Free, IPARK Young Chang, IPARK Sports, IPARK Resort, Hotel IPARK, and IPARK Marina.
In the artificial intelligence (AI) institutional sector, HDC LABS and HDC Asset Management, and in the energy institutional sector, Tongyeong Eco Power, HDC Hyundai EP, HDC Hyundai PCE, Seoul-Chuncheon Expressway, North Port I-Bridge, and Busan Container Terminal will keep their existing names.
In addition, at the shareholders meeting, Kang Min-seok, head of the Architecture Division, was newly appointed as an inside director. The term is two years.
As outside directors and audit committee members, Kim Dong-soo, head of the Korea University Institute for Future Growth, and Choi Jin-hee, a marketing professor at the Korea University Business School, were reappointed. Their terms are one year and three years, respectively. The two will concurrently serve as outside directors and audit committee members.
Kim is a former Chairperson of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, and Choi is also serving as an outside director at CJ CGV.
