Samsung C&T's construction division will collaborate with the globally renowned architectural firm "SMDP" to develop the integrated reconstruction of Shinbanpo 19 and 25 into a new landmark on the Banpo Han River waterfront in Jamwon-dong, Seocho District, Seoul.
On the 19th, Samsung C&T visited the Shinbanpo 19 and 25 site with SMDP's principal, Scott Sarver, and key designers to review the location, views, and surrounding environment, and held various discussions to propose the best design.
SMDP, headquartered in Chicago, is a renowned design firm focused on global mixed-use urban developments and high-end residential facilities. In Korea, it took part in creating high-end residential complexes such as "Raemian One Bailey," "Nine One Hannam," and "ACRO Seoul Forest." It is also collaborating on the reconstruction of Shinbanpo 4, for which Samsung C&T secured the construction contract in April last year.
The two companies plan to make Shinbanpo 19 and 25 a symbolic landmark along the Han River through a differentiated strategy that combines SMDP's innovative design philosophy and global design capabilities with Samsung C&T's successful reconstruction experience.
Focusing on the locational advantage adjacent to the Han River, the two companies are prioritizing a site plan that maximizes river views and daylight. They will emphasize a distinctive exterior design that stands out from neighboring complexes and, as an integrated reconstruction, will devote great care to common facilities such as circulation that organically connects the entire complex and the community.
In addition, by actively applying advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies such as Samsung C&T's home platform "Homeniq," they plan to further enhance resident convenience and the complex's future value.
The integrated reconstruction of Shinbanpo 19 and 25 is a project to consolidate Shinbanpo 19 (242 households) and 25 (169 households), along with Hanshin Jinil (19 households) and Jamwon CJ Apartment (17 households), located around 61-1 Jamwon-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, into a single complex.
Im Cheol-jin, head of housing sales at Samsung C&T, said, "We plan to mobilize all the project know-how from One Bailey, Korea's top-tier premium apartment completed through the integrated reconstruction of six complexes in the Banpo area (including Shinbanpo 3 and Gyeongnam)," adding, "We will do our utmost so that you can feel Samsung C&T's overwhelming project capabilities."
