Changbin, a member of the group Stray Kids, bought a 198㎡ exclusive-use unit at Hyundai Apartment in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 9.4 billion won, paying the full amount in cash.
According to the registry on the 18th, Changbin purchased one 198㎡ exclusive-use unit in phases 1 and 2 (Building 11) of Apgujeong Hyundai Apartment in Feb. last year under his own name for 9.4 billion won.
With no separate maximum mortgage right registered, it appears the entire purchase price was paid in cash without a loan.
Compared with a same-size unit that set a record high when it changed hands for 12.7 billion won last year, Changbin effectively bought at a price more than about 3 billion won below market value.
This apartment complex is located in Zone 3 among Apgujeong's redevelopment districts, with a large-scale renewal project planned. It is expected to be rebuilt into new apartments across 30 buildings with 5 basement floors to a maximum of 65 stories, totaling more than 5,000 households. A general meeting to select a construction contractor is scheduled for May, and total construction costs alone exceed 5.5 trillion won.
Apgujeong Hyundai Apartment is renowned as a prime residence favored by famous entertainers. Broadcaster Yu Jae-seok and Max Changmin of TVXQ! are said to be living in the complex.
Changbin is a member of Stray Kids, an eight-member multinational boy band that debuted in 2018. Born in 1999, Changbin is 27 this year.
