Lotte Construction said on the 15th that it held a town hall meeting at its headquarters in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 13th to share future management plans and mid- to long-term execution strategies with employees.
At the town hall meeting, Lotte Construction objectively assessed the internal and external management environment it faces, including the global supply chain crisis, rising labor costs, and higher procurement rates due to a high interest rate trend. It also shared with employees the broader construction industry's deteriorating profitability, legal regulations, and the push to strengthen safety standards, and sought solutions together.
Oh Il-keun, head of Lotte Construction, proposed "management rebuilding (Re-Building)" and "organizational efficiency" to break through the crisis and strengthen the company's fundamental management structure. Accordingly, Lotte Construction will closely review key pending issues and focus on short- and mid- to long-term solutions. On organizational efficiency, it plans to further strengthen safety and compliance management to enhance internal controls and business stability.
Lotte Construction also expressed its commitment to maximizing collaboration synergies within the group and securing new growth engines by taking on the role of a developer within the group. It plans to maintain a selective order-taking strategy focused on profitability, and to push in earnest to realign its business portfolio by identifying high value-added businesses to secure mid- to long-term future growth capabilities.
While emphasizing fundamental reinforcement of the management structure through management rebuilding and organizational efficiency, Oh Il-keun said, "Close collaboration by all employees is needed to improve construction quality, which is the foundation of our business, and to strengthen on-site safety and health management."
At the town hall meeting, as part of reaffirming its commitment to qualitative growth, Lotte Construction also unveiled a performance video for its 2026 management slogan. The video was intended to share a new vision with employees and to spur companywide participation and a spirit of innovation.
