ZIGBANG CO., a comprehensive proptech corporations, said on the 13th that it has introduced artificial intelligence (AI)-based real-time multilingual speech-to-text (STT) and translation features to its virtual office platform "Soma."
ZIGBANG CO. said it has added AI-based STT and translation features to Soma, a Metaverse-based virtual office platform. It is a tool designed to lower collaboration barriers caused by language differences in a globally distributed work environment.
Soma is a Metaverse-based virtual office platform independently developed by ZIGBANG CO. By recreating a sense of space similar to a real office online, it supports natural communication and collaboration even in remote and hybrid work environments.
With this update, users can view spoken content in virtual spaces as real-time text and see counterparts' remarks translated into a selected language. The system supports more than 50 languages and 145 locales. The generated text can be downloaded locally and used as meeting minutes and more.
A context-based method was applied to the translation feature. Rather than word-by-word substitution, it reflects the immediately preceding conversation flow, focusing on reducing communication gaps that can occur in multinational team meetings.
Conversation data is not stored on servers and is processed only among participants. Speech recognition and translation results run on a dual-path structure that supports both real-time delivery and reliable message transmission.
