Hyundai Engineering said on the 12th that it won two Winner prizes at the iF Design Award 2026, an international design award.
The iF Design Award, launched in 1953 under the auspices of Germany's International Forum, is one of the world's most prestigious design competitions. Along with the IDEA Award in the United States and the Red Dot Award in Germany, it is regarded as one of the world's top three design awards. In a total of nine categories—such as product design, architecture, and service design—it conducts a comprehensive evaluation of aesthetics, functionality, and social value to select outstanding products each year.
This year, Hyundai Engineering won Winner prizes in the Interior Architecture category for Hyundai Motors India HQ and LUCA831.
The Hyundai Motors India HQ built by Hyundai Engineering serves as the central headquarters of Hyundai Motor's India subsidiary, and it was designed with deep consideration for India's ∙ characteristics. To create a space that simultaneously realizes community engagement, employee satisfaction, and environmental responsibility, the lower floors host exhibitions and public programs to strengthen communication with local residents, while the upper floors are configured as employee-centered workspaces to secure focus and efficiency. Through abundant interior and exterior landscaping adapted to India's climate, solar panels, natural daylighting, and electric-vehicle charging stations, the project has fostered a sustainable environment.
LUCA831 is a high-end officetel located in the heart of Gangnam-daero in Seoul, featuring a luxurious arched design applied across the entire exterior. In line with lifestyle changes after the pandemic, it was designed to go beyond function-focused space and serve as an emotional refuge.
