Dongbu Corporation said on the 10th that its integrated wiring device design solution Smart Centre Kit won a main award at the iF Design Award 2026.
The iF Design Award, organized by International Forum Design in Germany, is considered one of the world's three major design awards along with the Red Dot Design Award and the IDEA Design Award. Each year, it selects winners by comprehensively evaluating thousands of entries worldwide for design innovation, functionality, user experience, and sustainability.
The award-winning Smart Centre Kit is a residential UX-based integrated design solution that unifies individually installed residential wiring devices—such as wall pads, switches, home information devices, and outlets—under a single design language. It applies a modern design that minimizes unnecessary visual elements to enhance the aesthetics of living spaces, and combines functions that provide daily information such as temperature, humidity, and weather to strengthen resident convenience.
A Dongbu Corporation official said the judging panel gave high marks for implementing diverse wiring devices in a consistent form based on a single design system to maintain spatial unity, and for improving user experience through an intuitive interface and simplicity.
Smart Centre Kit previously won bronze (Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Award) in the product design category at the 2025 Good Design Award. The multifunctional composite rest facility "Link Cloud" was also selected as an excellent design in the space and environmental design category.
Dongbu Corporation is focusing on realizing a "lifestyle-centered residential environment" that combines functionality and design in living spaces through its Centreville brand. The award-winning Smart Centre Kit is also a residential space design solution developed to reflect this design philosophy.
Smart Centre Kit will be applied first to the Centreville Edu City complex in Geomdan, Incheon. Dongbu Corporation plans to gradually expand the kit to new Centreville complexes that will be offered and developed in the future. Through this, the company plans to systematically build the design identity of the Centreville brand.
