The 43-year-old Songpa Hanyang Phase 1 Apartment complex will be expanded from the existing 576 households to 954 through a reconstruction project.
The Seoul city government said on the 5th that it convened the Subcommittee on Delegated Authority for the Second Urban Planning Committee's Rapid Integrated Planning (Shintong Planning) maintenance projects on the 4th and approved with modifications the proposal for the decision on the maintenance plan and designation of the maintenance zone and the landscape review for the reconstruction of the Songpa Hanyang Phase 1 Apartment complex.
The Songpa Hanyang Phase 1 Apartment complex at 119 Songpa-dong, Songpa District, Seoul, is an aged and substandard multi-family housing complex built in 1983. It has inconveniences such as insufficient parking space and building corrosion, but nearby amenities and educational infrastructure are well established.
Under this maintenance plan, a complex with a floor area ratio of 299.98% and up to 29 stories will be created. A Together Care Center, a small library, and playgrounds for infants and children will be provided within the complex, and the widths of Baekjegobun-ro 44-gil and 46-gil and Garak-ro, which are adjacent, will be expanded. In addition, a park will be created on the south side, and a parking lot will be built under the park to help alleviate parking shortages for nearby residents.
The city expects that the decision on the reconstruction maintenance plan for the Songpa Hanyang Phase 1 Apartment complex will add momentum to activating the supply of dwellings in the Songpa-dong area and at the nearby Songpa Hanyang Phase 2 Apartment complex (1,346 households).
