The Seoul city government said on the 4th that it has produced and distributed five customized safety materials for construction sites to proactively respond to the rapidly changing construction safety management environment and to allow practitioners to use them immediately.
The newly produced materials are "A collection of repeated citations over the past 5 years (2026)" and "Guidelines for drafting temporary earth-retaining structure construction plans and instrumentation management (2026)." In addition, ▲ construction site safety management guidelines (2014) ▲ a collection of excellent safety cases over the past 5 years (2016) ▲ a safety work guidebook for construction stakeholders (2022) were revised to reflect the latest laws and on-site cases.
The five construction site safety management guidebooks are available for anyone to download on the Seoul city government's Construction Notice website (https://cis.seoul.go.kr).
Im Chun-geun, head of the Seoul city government's Urban Infrastructure Headquarters, said, "The five guidebooks distributed this time will provide practical help for on-site practitioners to clearly fulfill their legal obligations and standardize safety management procedures," adding, "As they were produced based on experts' reviews and on-site experience, we expect them to serve as an opportunity to raise the level of construction safety in Seoul by one step."
