Chef Kwon Sung-jun, who made a name for himself as the winner of the popular variety show "Culinary Class Wars," bought a small building near Yangsu Station in Sindang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, last year for 3.3 billion won.
According to the real estate development industry on the 5th, Chef Kwon Sung-jun purchased a commercial building at 332-5 Sindang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, in September last year for 3.3 billion won.
The building has a site area of 152 square meters and a total floor area of 303 square meters, with five above-ground floors. Approved for use in Oct. 2021, the building sits between Yangsu Station on Seoul Subway Lines 3 and 6 and Cheonggu Station on Lines 5 and 6.
When Kwon purchased the building, a maximum debt amount of 2.64 billion won was registered as a collateralized mortgage. Considering that the maximum debt amount is typically about 120% of the actual loan, the financing from financial institutions is estimated at about 2.2 billion won.
Kwon is reportedly planning to operate the first and second floors of the building as his fine-dining restaurant within the first half of this year.
