Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) said on the 4th that it carried out a social contribution activity on the 26th to donate new semester backpacks to adolescents from multicultural families.
The activity was carried out in cooperation with the Korean Multicultural Youth Association. The association purchased the new semester school backpacks that adolescents from multicultural families wanted, and KIND supported the purchase of those items.
KIND is a public institution that discovers and develops investments in overseas infrastructure, urban development, and plant projects, and collaboration with many countries and diverse cultures is essential. Reflecting this characteristic, KIND has set its social contribution focus areas as "respect for cultural diversity" and "support for children and adolescents," and is actively promoting related activities.
A KIND official said, "Because multicultural values are closely linked to KIND's overseas investment development work, support for related fields is a social responsibility the institution must proactively carry out," adding, "We plan to steadily expand our social contribution activities, focusing on the field of multicultural children and adolescents."
