Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on the 3rd that the "Summit amenity design" applied to the Lacerbo Summit community space won a main prize (Winner selection) at the 2026 iF Design Award, organized by International Forum Design.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction has received the award for five consecutive years from 2022 to 2026. The iF Design Award is a prestigious global design honor regarded as one of the world's top three design awards. Winners are chosen based on a comprehensive evaluation of innovation, functionality, aesthetics and sustainability.
The design applied to the community space reflects the brand's "modern Korean design (Modern Koreaness)" concept. A key feature is the modern interpretation of the hanok concept of "borrowed scenery (cha-gyeong)," creating a natural consolidation between exterior views and interior spaces. Traditional elements such as hanji and latticework were restructured with a focus on symbolism and meaning to harmonize with the brand identity, according to Daewoo Engineering & Construction.
A Daewoo Engineering & Construction official said, "This win shows that the community-centered space design pursued by the Summit brand is competitive by global standards," adding, "We will continue to drive space innovation that goes beyond function to embody emotion and cultural value."
