Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on the 25th that the urban public housing complex district near National Assembly-daero in Gangseo, Seoul, was publicly announced as a planned district (public notice for viewing and collecting opinions from residents, etc.).
The previous name of the urban complex project near National Assembly-daero in Gangseo was the urban complex project near the Hwagok 2-dong community service center.
The urban public housing complex district development project is a project that swiftly supplies dwellings to aging urban areas such as station influence zones that have been stalled for a long time due to the difficulty of private redevelopment, through a public-led expropriation method (in-kind compensation). Since 2021, LH has been promoting urban complex projects at a total of 46 sites for 78,000 households.
The urban public housing complex district near National Assembly-daero in Gangseo, designated as a planned district this time, is 240,000㎡, the largest among LH urban complex project target districts. A total of 5,973 households are slated to be supplied.
The area is adjacent to Kkachisan Station on subway lines 2 and 5, National Assembly-daero—where an underpass and an upper-deck park project are underway—and Mok-dong, offering not only transportation convenience but also a pleasant residential environment and favorable educational conditions within the city.
For the urban complex district near National Assembly-daero in Gangseo, from the date of designation as a planned district, consent forms will be received within one year to secure the consent of at least two-thirds of the number of land and other owners and at least one-half of the land area. Once the consent rate is secured, the main district designation process is expected to be completed through deliberations by the Central Urban Planning Committee and the Central Land Expropriation Committee.
