Hoban Group said on the 12th that it paid 80 billion won in transaction proceeds to partner companies ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. The payments were made to about 450 partners of major affiliates, including Hoban Construction, Hoban Industry, and Taihan Cable & Solution.
The measure was implemented to ease partners' funding burdens and support stable business operations amid ongoing uncertainties in the internal and external business environment. It is expected to provide practical help to partners facing increased funding needs for pre-holiday wage payments and raw material settlements.
Hoban Group has been expediting the execution of transaction payments during holiday periods such as Lunar New Year and Chuseok each year to support partners' liquidity. In the "results of the inspection of public disclosures on subcontract payment terms for the first half of 2025" released by the Korea Fair Trade Commission, Hoban Construction recorded a 91.87% rate of paying subcontract fees within 15 days, the highest level among large business groups.
A Hoban Group official said, "We hope this provides a small boost for partners to operate their businesses more stably ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday," adding, "Hoban will continue to strengthen partnerships that grow with our partners and seek practical support measures to steadily practice shared growth management."
