DL E&C said on the 11th that it will collaborate with global companies to make Apgujeong District 5 a benchmark for high-end housing. It aims to create synergy across design, structure, and construction with design leader "ARCADIS" and the world's top high-rise structural engineering leader "ARUP."
DL E&C plans to push the project with the top priority of creating spaces that genuinely raise quality of life from the starting point of design to the finish, in line with the prime location of Apgujeong District 5.
To that end, DL E&C will work with the world's best companies. ARCADIS is a global architecture, engineering, and consulting group headquartered in the Netherlands. It has carried out urban development, residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in more than 30 countries worldwide. It was selected by U.S. Building Design & Construction (BDC) magazine as the "No. 1 architecture firm in North America" for the past two consecutive years.
ARCADIS has also established itself as a "global design group" that, based on an extensive track record ranging from large-scale urban residential complexes to high-end residences and mixed residential developments, goes beyond simple design services to propose integrated strategies for planning, design, and operations across housing. It took part in the ultra-luxury mixed-use project "Royal Atlantis Hotel & Residences" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the "Four Seasons Private Residences" project in Los Angeles, United States.
ARUP, renowned worldwide in structural design, served as the structural engineer for Australia's "Sydney Opera House," realizing its curved roof structure. It has also expanded the possibilities of space through structural design for global projects such as the "The Shard," a supertall landmark in London, United Kingdom, the mixed-use resort "Marina Bay Sands" in Singapore, and "Apple Park" in California, United States.
In Apgujeong District 5, DL E&C is tasked with turning the global design and structural capabilities of ARCADIS and ARUP into actual residential space. Based on its accumulated construction technology and quality control know-how, DL E&C's core competitiveness lies in realizing the intentions and philosophy set at the design stage.
In particular, DL E&C plans to design Apgujeong District 5 not as a "home to show off," but as housing where "value is felt in actual living and trust builds over time."
