Hyundai Engineering & Construction won the redevelopment project for Geumjeong District 2 in Gunpo.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction said on the 9th that it was selected as the final builder at the "general meeting to select the construction company for Geumjeong District 2," hosted on the 7th by Kyobo Realco (the project executor for Geumjeong District 2).
The Geumjeong District 2 redevelopment project in Gunpo will apply a floor area ratio of 299.97% to build an apartment complex with 1,028 households, from 4 floors underground to 35 floors above ground, at 762-11 Geumjeong-dong, Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province. The total construction cost is about 425.8 billion won.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction proposed "Hillstate Geumjeong Centerpoint" (HILLSTATE GEUMJEONG CENTERPOINT) as the complex name. It said the name reflects a plan to build a landmark embodying the city's future value at a central site where Gunpo's transportation and natural infrastructure converge.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction will deploy a differentiated product strategy. It plans to create a sky community that offers panoramic views of the area from a height of 100 meters and maximize pedestrian convenience for residents by applying a "level 0m" design at ground level that eliminates grade differences.
It plans a community space of about 5.61 square meters (1.7 pyeong) per household and proposed 36 diverse programs. With ample community areas featuring duplex sunken spaces, designs that leverage natural light, and layouts that feel infused with forest, the complex will create an environment that blends leisure and relaxation.
Another feature is the introduction of themed gardens inspired by iconic spaces in famous global cities. This will allow residents to experience varied scenery and spaces along pedestrian routes within the complex.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction became the first in the industry last year to surpass 10 trillion won in orders for urban renewal projects, securing the No. 1 spot in orders for the seventh straight year. This year, it is targeting more than 12 trillion won in orders and aims to remain No. 1 for the eighth consecutive year, pursuing a selective ordering strategy focused on key areas in Seoul and the greater capital region.
