GS Engineering & Construction said on the 6th that operating profit last year rose 53.1% from a year earlier to 437.8 billion won. Revenue fell 3.2% in the same period to 12.4504 trillion won.
New orders last year reached 19.2073 trillion won, exceeding the target of 14.3 trillion won by 34.3%. By business division, the building and dwellings division led results with revenue of 7.7869 trillion won. Representative projects include the housing redevelopment maintenance project for Seoul Bongcheon District 14 (627.5 billion won), the west side of Ssangmun Station urban public dwellings complex project (583.6 billion won), and the Gwangmyeong Siheung and Siheung Geomo public dwellings projects in Gyeonggi Province (389.3 billion won). In addition, the plant division posted 1.3201 trillion won and the infrastructure division posted 1.4614 trillion won.
Danwood, an overseas modular dwellings subsidiary, also secured cumulative orders of 644.9 billion won last year. Fourth-quarter results were revenue of 2.9835 trillion won, operating profit of 56.9 billion won, and new orders of 6.8687 trillion won.
GS Engineering & Construction set this year's management targets at 11.5 trillion won in revenue and 17.8 trillion won in new orders. A GS Engineering & Construction official said, "We will establish a foundation for sustainable growth through a strategy of selection and concentration."
