Doosan Engineering & Construction Co. said on Feb. 2 that it signed a business agreement on Jan. 30 with Seoul Housing and Urban Development Corporation for joint implementation of the "Hong-eun District 1 public redevelopment."
The Hong-eun District 1 public redevelopment is a project to build 344 apartment units and neighborhood living facilities in three buildings ranging from four basement levels to 34 above-ground floors at 48-163, Hongeun-dong, Seodaemun District, Seoul. In particular, at Hong-eun District 1, public redevelopment incentives eased the legal cap on the floor area ratio, making it possible to build up to 34 stories.
Here, Doosan Engineering & Construction Co. said it enhanced the completeness of the complex by applying an exterior-specialized design that reflects its brand identity. It applied brand patterns to the exterior walls and incorporated exterior specialization elements such as landscape lighting and glass railings.
Doosan Engineering & Construction Co. is participating as the constructor for "Sinseol District 1," the first public redevelopment project in Seoul, and is proceeding with the project after securing the first project implementation approval among public redevelopment projects. It also won urban complex housing projects for "Banghak Station" and "Ssangmun Station east side," the first and second urban public housing complex projects in Seoul.
A Doosan Engineering & Construction Co. official said, "As a frontrunner in public redevelopment and Seoul urban complex projects, we will continue to do our best to expand public projects," adding, "We will mobilize all the specialized designs and construction know-how we have prepared so far to make a residential complex that satisfies residents, so that Hong-eun District 1 can become a new model case for public redevelopment."
