HS HWASUNG said it held the "2026 management strategy meeting" at 9 a.m. on the 19th in the conference hall on the 7th floor of HS HWASUNG's Daegu headquarters, with all executives and employees in attendance.
The strategy meeting was prepared to review the past year's management performance and share the key strategies and execution directions HS HWASUNG should pursue this year amid a continued environment of internal and external uncertainty.
Through the strategy meeting, HS HWASUNG set this year's three core management themes as pfaithful to the basics pdata-driven management pdiversification of the business portfolio. The goal is to overhaul strategy and management systems and build a sustainable revenue structure amid rising external volatility and expanding cost and funding risks.
HS HWASUNG presented "faithful to the basics" as the first core pillar of management. It will redefine order-taking strategies for each public and private sector, pursue diversification of ordering entities, and advance capabilities in quality, safety, cost, and funding management for each project. Along with redesigning the premium brand value, it will seek and secure new technologies. The company plans to focus its capabilities on improving its fundamentals to secure both stability and profitability by expanding into new business areas, including overseas expansion.
The second is "data-driven management." HS HWASUNG plans to integrate and manage cost, process, and funding data through upgrading the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and to gradually introduce artificial intelligence (AI)-based data analysis as a decision-support tool.
It plans to accumulate and analyze data across orders, sales, estimating, construction management, safety, and after-service to move away from judgment based on experience and intuition and build an objective and predictable decision-making system. It will also detect project risks in advance and improve operational efficiency across the business.
The third is "diversification of the business portfolio." In the housing and building segments, it will continue a selective order-taking strategy focused on high-quality projects in the greater Seoul area, based on the past year's accumulated experience in maintenance projects and brand competitiveness.
In the civil engineering and environment segments as well, it will maintain a stable business portfolio based on its existing experience and technological strength, promoting projects that consider both profitability and risk.
HS HWASUNG set this year's order target at 1.4 trillion won. It said it will continue a management stance focused on stable top-line growth and profitability.
HS HWASUNG posted about 1.5 trillion won in orders last year, achieving the largest order performance since its founding.
In practice, starting with two sites in Anyang last year, it won three projects around Myeonmokbon-dong in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, in May, and in September it won a series of major projects, including Jamwon Hanshin Town in Seocho-gu, Gangnam, a core area for maintenance projects, and Seongsu-dong Sinsung Row Houses.
In particular, based on contracts for Zones 5, 2, and 3 in Myeonmokbon-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, if phased development proceeds by expanding the business scope to adjacent Zones 4 and 1, the company is expected to be responsible for creating a Moa Town initiative with a total of 1,500 households.
The Jamwon Hanshin Town and Seongsu Sinsung Row House reconstruction projects will apply HS HWASUNG's high-end residential brand "EHCRA." A company official said this was a strategic achievement beyond simple order performance, as it marked HS HWASUNG's first entry into the Gangnam area and full-fledged entry into core maintenance project sites in Seoul, such as Seongsu-dong.
Choi Hyuk, HS HWASUNG's strategy office head, said, "Even in a management environment with growing uncertainty, we will create new opportunities through solid management faithful to the basics and data," and added, "We will do our utmost to secure overseas orders that are about to be contracted and deliver meaningful results again this year through the successful sale of 'Beomeo Station D'R' in Beomeo-dong, Daegu."
