WOOMI Construction Co. said on the 16th that on Dec. 29 last year it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MEISA, a spatial information specialist corporations, at Lin Square in Gangnam, Seoul, to develop "construction record automation and a Digital Twin-based on-site operation technology."
At the signing ceremony, key officials from both companies, including Kim Hye-won, an executive director at WOOMI Construction Co., and Choi Seok-won, CEO of MEISA, attended.
Founded in 2017, MEISA is a startup and a construction drone data platform development corporations that supplies drone- and satellite data-based Digital Twin solutions to many domestic builders.
WOOMI Construction Co. has introduced and operated MEISA's smart spatial information platform at all sites since 2024. The agreement was prepared to further advance the platform by reflecting on-site feedback accumulated so far.
Through this agreement, the two companies will prioritize strengthening on-site task optimization functions and building construction record automation. In the long term, they plan to jointly develop a "Digital Twin-based integrated on-site operation system" that analyzes various data—including drones, 360-degree cameras, CCTV, and building information modeling (BIM)—for use in construction, safety, and quality management.
WOOMI Construction Co. is a corporations that has steadily invested in demonstrating and internalizing smart construction technologies. In particular, it is accelerating digital transformation on sites by gradually applying its in-house artificial intelligence (AI) "Lean GPT," the drone-based control system "MEISA," and the "Smart Rebar Checker (rebar inspection program)."
Kim Hye-won, an executive director at WOOMI Construction Co., said, "In construction sites, smart technology is essential from safety management to quality improvement," adding, "By combining WOOMI Construction Co.'s construction know-how with MEISA's technological prowess, we will present a new level of on-site management standard."
