GS Engineering and Construction said on the 14th it will compete to win the project for Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone Phase 1 Housing Maintenance-type Redevelopment Zone (hereafter Seongsu 1 District), considered the biggest redevelopment project along the Han River. GS Engineering and Construction presented "Beyond Seongsu (Seongsu, value beyond)" as its differentiated strategy slogan.
GS Engineering and Construction aims to avoid standardized high-end competition and, with a unique vision of "High-end above High-end," complete Seongsu 1 District as a "landmark looking 100 years ahead."
To that end, it plans to collaborate with world-renowned architectural masters, including David Chipperfield Architects, the firm of David Chipperfield, a Pritzker Prize laureate often referred to as the Nobel in architecture. The company designed the Neues Museum in Berlin, Germany, and the new headquarters of Amorepacific in Yongsan, Seoul.
It also plans to elevate the quality of the residential experience beyond completion by proposing differentiated housing solutions that span hardware and software exclusively for residents, including 5-star hotel-level concierge services ▲ new technologies that reduce inter-floor noise ▲ an AI-based smart home system.
A GS Engineering and Construction official said, "Seongsu 1 District is a key project that can newly propose a residential paradigm for Seoul in terms of location and symbolism," adding, "Based on proven quality competitiveness and trust, we will unveil a highly complete residential space befitting Seongsu 1 District."
