Oh Se-chul, president and CEO of the construction division at Samsung C&T, emphasized in a New Year's message on the 2nd that "we must establish a foundation for sustainable growth by going beyond existing inertia, boldly executing, strengthening competitiveness centered on technology, and improving efficiency by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DT)."
Oh said, "In 2026, even amid an uncertain external environment, it must be the year to fully launch diversification of the business portfolio and deliver results in new businesses based on new opportunities such as AI and growing energy demand."
Oh repeatedly stressed safety. Oh said, "Let's make this a year to take a step up through dynamic challenges by adopting safety as the top management principle and fundamentally eliminating serious accidents."
