Jang Dong-hyun, CEO (vice chairman) of SK ecoplant, on the 2nd emphasized, "As a core partner responsible for building and operating AI infrastructure within the group, we must become an AI Infra Solution Provider that goes beyond design and construction to encompass the supply of essential materials and lifecycle management of post-use resources."
Vice Chairman Jang, in the "2026 New Year's address" that day, said, "The strategic shift of our group to leap forward as a global AI leading company in a rapidly changing environment is indispensable. Within that, SK ecoplant's role must also become clear," and stated accordingly.
Jang said, "In the AI infrastructure field, we will firmly lay the groundwork for growth with two core businesses—semiconductors and data centers," adding, "The high-tech business will secure profitability and technological competitiveness by maximizing semiconductor-centered infrastructure expertise and will lay the foundation for business model (BM) expansion."
He added, "The AI solution business will selectively execute high-revenue, low-risk projects based on EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) capabilities, and will continue to expand future growth areas such as AI data centers."
In gas and material (Gas&Material), Vice Chairman Jang is determined to cement market dominance with overwhelming technology. Jang said, "By developing and supplying essential high-tech materials and advancing differentiated technologies, we will establish ourselves as an irreplaceable partner that enhances the efficiency of customers' processes, and we will strengthen the stability of the revenue structure based on a solid market share."
Jang said the asset lifecycle field will complete the resource circulation loop. Jang said, "By enhancing existing business capabilities, we will diversify the supply chain for semiconductor module product lines, and by strengthening the global resource circulation model, we will create sustainable value and maximize the potential value of customers' assets."
Jang added, "Management and employees must unite as one to focus on executing key tasks to support vision and growth—compliance with safety, quality and security, embedding system-based management, and achieving management plans," and emphasized, "Let's cast off the past and generate synergy with mutual trust and a 'One Team Spirit.'"
