Work will begin on the Jangwi District 10 redevelopment project in Seongbuk District, Seoul. The area was designated as a maintenance zone in 2008, but the project was delayed for a long time due to conflict with Sarang Jeil Church, which was included in the project site.
According to the maintenance industry on the 1st, Seongbuk District finalized the start-of-construction filing for Jangwi District 10 the previous day. The Sigongsa is Daewoo E&C. With the redevelopment, the area of about 91,362 square meters will be transformed into a large complex with a total of 1,931 households. It will also include 341 public housing units.
In addition, plans include public infrastructure such as a cultural park of about 5,900 square meters, a library, and a community center, as well as the expansion of Dolgoji-ro, a key road, which is expected to have a positive impact on transportation and cultural infrastructure along with improvements in the residential environment.
Jangwi District 10 was designated as a maintenance zone in 2008. In 2017, it received approval for the management and disposal plan. However, due to prolonged conflict with Sarang Jeil Church, which was included in the project site, the project was delayed for a long time, and the maintenance zone was adjusted to exclude the church and the project was relaunched.
