Daebo Engineering & Construction, the construction affiliate of Daebo Group, logged 2.1 trillion won in orders this year, breaking its annual record for the second straight year.
Daebo Engineering & Construction said on the 29th that its preliminary order intake for this year totaled 2.073 trillion won. After setting an all-time high of 1.682 trillion won last year, it surpassed that record again this year.
In March, Daebo Engineering & Construction won three private-investment projects worth about 170 billion won: ▲ the Incheon International Airport second international business district aviation operations facility development project (BOT) ▲ the Seoul National University of Education humanities hall reconstruction facility improvement lease-type private investment project (BTL) ▲ the Pusan National University dormitory reconstruction lease-type private investment project (BTL).
In July, it also secured Section 3 of the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Express Railway (GTX) Line B private investment project (the 10.1-kilometer section from Guro to Yeouido, two stations: Sindorim Station and Yeouido Station), worth about 740 billion won, quickly pushing orders past 1 trillion won. After winning the new construction for the Government Busan Regional Government Complex in September, it won the 106 billion won contract in November to build the site for the 450,000-square-meter Yongsan International Business District urban development project. In December, it won Section 11 of the Incheon Yeongjong A62 Block apartment construction, worth 190 billion won, and Section 1 of the Goyang–Eunpyeong Line metropolitan railway construction.
In public housing construction with private participation, it secured workloads including: ▲ the Namyangju Wangsuk 2 District A-6 and A-7 blocks, worth 350 billion won ▲ the Miryang Bubuk A-1 and S-2 blocks ▲ Administrative City 52 M2 block, L2 block, and Seokmun National Industrial Complex B-6 block ▲ Hanam Gyosan A3 block ▲ Gwangmyeong–Siheung S1-11 block, S2-2 block and Siheung Geomo A-1 block ▲ Gwanggyo A17 block and Gyosan A1 block.
It also won: ▲ the Yeonsinnae Station urban public housing complex project in Seoul ▲ the Sanggye-dong Oseong Villa street housing maintenance project ▲ the Namhangang (phase 3) water supply system adjustment project facility works ▲ the Seongsanpo Port access road expansion works ▲ the Namgang Dam (I) wide-area water supply old-pipe replacement project facility works (Section 2) ▲ the Yangsan Sasong A-7BL apartment electrical works Section 7.
A Daebo Engineering & Construction official said, "Next year, we will continue to leverage our strengths in the public sector to focus on securing high-quality orders," adding, "We plan to concentrate especially on large-scale civil engineering construction."
