Dongbu Corporation surpassed 4 trillion won in new orders this year, marking the largest order intake since its founding.
Dongbu Corporation said on the 29th that it won the contract for the "Yongin campus win-win facility construction" ordered by SK hynix.
The project will build a win-win facility with a total floor area of 171,339 square meters and three basement levels to 10 above-ground floors in the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster General Industrial Complex in Cheoin District, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The basement levels will house parking, a daycare center, restaurants, and other welfare facilities, while the above-ground levels will include a dormitory with about 1,400 rooms. The total construction cost is about 192.4 billion won, and the construction period is about 29 months from the start date.
In particular, this order adds another SK hynix project secured by Dongbu Corporation. After successfully completing the "SK hynix Cheongju Support Center project" in 2023, Dongbu Corporation won the "SK hynix Cheongju Campus 4 auxiliary facilities" this year, steadily building trust with the client.
With this order, Dongbu Corporation reached 4 trillion won in new orders this year. A Dongbu Corporation official noted that this result goes beyond simple scale expansion and reflects a step forward in strengthening the company's business fundamentals.
Amid a slowdown in orders across the construction industry, project financing (PF) risks, and cost burdens that are making it tough for mid-sized builders to win work, the company emphasized that it achieved results by securing both the stability of public works and the growth potential of private and industrial facilities.
Dongbu Corporation has secured differentiated order-winning competitiveness in private industrial facilities by combining user-centered, customized design proposals and precise cost analysis through advance site inspections with capabilities in process, quality, and safety management.
A Dongbu Corporation official said, "We are securing both stability and growth through a balanced order strategy that spans public and private sectors," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in industrial facilities focused on strategic industries such as semiconductors to solidify our mid- to long-term growth foundation."
