Studio Eugenia, operated by Tongyang of Eugene Group, was recently used as a filming location for Netflix variety show "Culinary Class Wars 2," the company said on the 24th. The company noted it once again proved its competitiveness as a specialized infrastructure optimized for large-scale content production.
Studio Eugenia also presented a differentiated production environment during season 1 of "Culinary Class Wars," implementing a large-scale set where 40 chefs could use kitchen facilities at the same time. By equipping integrated utility systems that allow flexible design and operation of essential water supply and drainage, gas, and electrical piping for cooking programs, it set the standard as a filming location for large cooking survival program productions.
Design that considered expertise from the facility development stage is also a strength. Studio Eugenia secured a high clear ceiling of about 15 meters to maximize space utilization. Even with complex facilities installed below, it can configure large sets elevated off the ground, enabling three-dimensional directing without restrictions on camera angles. It is evaluated as an environment optimized not only for large set production but also for video implementation that maximizes a sense of space.
Operational efficiency and accessibility are also excellent. Located in Unjeong, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, Studio Eugenia is within a 30-minute drive from major broadcasting complexes such as the DMC in Sangam-dong, Seoul. In addition, it is well received by production teams for programs thanks to optimal soundproofing and sound-absorbing facilities, as well as the latest HVAC systems and motorized battens and other professional filming facilities.
Following the success of "Culinary Class Wars," Studio Eugenia has been receiving a stream of filming inquiries from variety and drama production companies that require large-scale sets and three-dimensional spatial directing.
A Tongyang official said, "From the planning stage, Studio Eugenia focused on implementing 'multi-infrastructure' capable of handling a variety of genres, including large-scale survival variety shows, drama, and music videos," adding, "We plan to continue leading Korea's content production infrastructure market based on a specialized production environment and operational know-how."
