HS HWASUNG said on the 22nd that it secured the construction contract for the Myeonmokbon-dong District 3 street housing maintenance project in Myeonmokbon-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
HS HWASUNG said it was selected as the final constructor at the cooperative's general meeting to choose the builder held on the 29th.
The Myeonmokbon-dong District 3 street housing maintenance project is a plan to build a new apartment complex with four buildings, from three floors underground to 15 floors above ground, with about 247 households, in the area of 107-33 Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
The construction cost is about 77.3 billion won. A HS HWASUNG official emphasized that, following the previously won Districts 2 and 5 in Myeonmokbon-dong, successfully winning District 3 has positioned the company as the key constructor for maintenance projects in the Myeonmokbon-dong area. HS HWASUNG plans to expand the project scope to the adjacent District 4 based on this District 3 win.
If Districts 3 and 4 are developed as an integrated project, the scale will expand to about 512 households. If step-by-step development continues with the previously won Districts 2 and 5 and later District 1, a Moa Town with a total of 1,500 households is expected to take shape.
The Myeonmokbon-dong area is a representative maintenance project zone designated for Moa Town and the fast-track integrated planning program. As a residential area along the Jungnangcheon stream, maintenance, green space and pedestrian environment improvements, and zoning upgrades are being pursued together. Seoul City is fostering the Myeonmokbon-dong area as an urban regeneration model that systematically refurbishes aging low-rise residential neighborhoods to improve the living environment and revitalize local commerce and daily infrastructure.
Lee Eun-chung, head of the urban maintenance project team at the Development Business Division of HS HWASUNG, said, "Through linked development of Myeonmokbon-dong Districts 2, 3, and 5, we will reshape the area's residential environment and urban landscape," adding, "We will present a new standard for Moa Town that grows together with the local community, beyond a simple maintenance project."
