DL Construction said on the 10th it has secured the construction contract for the Moa Town (small-scale housing redevelopment) project around 329-38 Junghwa-dong, Seoul.
The project will build a complex of 19 buildings with 1,760 households, ranging from three underground floors to up to 35 above-ground floors, in the area around 329-38 Junghwa-dong, Jungnang-gu, with a project cost of about 600 billion won.
Under the newly selected plan, DL Construction will handle integrated construction for three sections (Sections 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3) within the Junghwa District 2 project, which had previously been promoted individually under a street-housing method.
The composition by section is ▲ Section 2-1: six buildings, 559 households ▲ Section 2-2: six buildings, 557 households ▲ Section 2-3: seven buildings, 644 households. It is expected to raise satisfaction among demand-side residents by arranging all sections to face views of the Jungnang Stream.
The project site is within the station area of Junghwa Station on Subway Line 7, offering good access thanks to various transport networks such as Jungnang Station, Sangbong Station, and the Dongbu Arterial Road. The area also boasts ample living infrastructure, including Jungnang Stream and the Taereung Market specialty street, and the integrated redevelopment is expected to further improve local residential conditions and infrastructure.
A DL Construction official said, "Based on the brand competitiveness of e-Pyeonhansesang, we earned the trust of union members and secured the integrated construction contract, which is significant," adding, "We will successfully build a large-scale landmark in central Seoul and make Junghwa-dong a representative residential area of Jungnang-gu."
