Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) said on Dec. 8 that it will unveil the winning works of the 2025 public housing artist garden competition.

LH has promoted the "public housing artist garden" since 2022 to create differentiated community spaces within complexes. It was created in 2022 at Siheung Janghyeon (A3BL) and in 2023 at Incheon Geomdan (AA-21BL, AA35-1,2BL).

In particular, the artist park "Botanical Community," created at Siheung Janghyeon (A3BL), was selected as a "Winner" at the Asia Design Prize 2025 (Asia Design Prize).

This year's competition, held in Oct. under the theme "walking through a garden of light" where nature and art flow, aimed to create a community garden blending nature, art, water, and light. The target complexes are Goyang Changneung S-5·A-4BL.

As a result of the final review, "Seoontteul" (artists Park Gi-ho and Park A-reum), which captured an artistic landscape through the flow of light and nature, was selected as the top prize. Based on the winning work, LH plans to create a central community garden (4,000㎡) connecting the Goyang Changneung S-5·A-4BL complexes.

Oh Ju-heon, head of LH's Public Housing Division, said, "The artist garden, where light and art blend, will be a new community space within the complex and a comfortable natural retreat to enjoy close to daily life," adding, "We will continue to work to provide a residential environment that can raise resident satisfaction."
