HDC Hyundai Development Company said on the 5th that, as part of efforts to strengthen safety management in winter, its executives conducted a safety inspection on the 4th at the Masan Marine New Town construction site.
The Masan Marine New Town project is a land formation project to create an artificial island of about 630,000 square meters by reclaiming part of Masan Bay. HDC Hyundai Development Company is building soft-ground treatment, roads, and waterfront promenades.
The inspection was attended by CEO Jeong Gyeong-gu and Infrastructure Division Head Jo Heung-bong, along with executives and employees of HDC Hyundai Development Company. The on-site inspection team checked the overall installation status of safety facilities, including the construction status of roads, promenades, and sculptural facilities within the site.
CEO Jeong Gyeong-gu listened to the difficulties of on-site workers who have worked hard during the approximately 15-year construction period and asked them to maintain a safe working environment through completion. In particular, considering the characteristics of large port construction, the management visited to identify major risk factors and promised continued attention and support to create a safe construction environment.
CEO Jeong Gyeong-gu said, "Large-scale infrastructure construction becomes a major social foundation, so safety management must continue not only during the construction process but also until the stage where everyone can use it with confidence," adding, "through strict inspections to secure fundamental safety, we will build a safe environment that continues from the construction stage through after completion."
