Daewoo E&C said on the 1st it was finally selected as the contractor for the public-participation redevelopment and maintenance project in the Shinhung 3 district in Shinhung-dong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
The Shinhung 3 district redevelopment project will build 24 apartment buildings with 5 basement levels to 35 above-ground floors, totaling 3,584 households, along with ancillary welfare facilities. The total construction cost is 1.2687 trillion won.
Shinhung 3 district boasts prime access to Shinhung Station on Subway Line 8 and excellent connectivity to major business hubs such as Gangnam, Pangyo, and Wirye. It is also rich in daily-life infrastructure, including Emart, Seongnam Medical Center, Himangdae Park, Haeoreum Park, and Daewon Park, enhancing residential convenience.
Daewoo E&C proposed "Prugio Magnus Park (MAGNUS PARK)" as the new complex name for Shinhung 3 district. Daewoo E&C adjusted the original plan from 35 buildings to 24 to improve spacing between buildings and sunlight/views, and reduced elevation differences within the complex from four steps to two to simplify pedestrian circulation.
It also planned a skyline up to 35 floors, and a 360-degree panoramic sky community will be introduced on the top floor. The on-site community facilities will include a family pool, fitness center, indoor golf practice range, indoor tennis court, table tennis room, guesthouse, and multi-studio, among others.
Meanwhile, Daewoo E&C's cumulative orders for urban redevelopment projects this year total 3.7727 trillion won, and it plans to continue order-taking activities next year, focusing on key areas of Seoul such as Seongsu and Gangnam.
