Hyundai E&C said on the 1st that it secured the construction contract for the Jangwi District 15 dwellings redevelopment and maintenance project in Seoul, surpassing for the first time ever an annual 10 trillion won in urban maintenance project orders.
Hyundai E&C won 11 urban maintenance project sites this year in succession, recording 10.5 trillion won in annual orders. This exceeds the 9.3395 trillion won recorded in 2022 by more than 1 trillion won and marks the first time a Korean builder has joined the "urban maintenance 10 trillion club."
Along with this, it achieved: ◇ breaking through 10 trillion won in annual orders, a first in the industry ◇ renewal of the annual record for highest orders ◇ holding the No. 1 spot in orders for seven straight years (2019–2025).
This year, Hyundai E&C independently won, without a consortium, trillion-won class mega-projects including the 2.7489 trillion won reconstruction of Seoul's Apgujeong District 2, as well as Gaepo Jugong Complexes 6 and 7 and Jangwi District 15. It also secured major project sites centered on large metropolitan cities such as Busan and Jeonju, strengthening its portfolio.
A Hyundai E&C representative said, "The performance in the urban maintenance business is the result of members recognizing Hyundai E&C's residential philosophy and competitiveness," adding, "We will strengthen our bidding strategy around ultra-large project sites such as Apgujeong District 3, lead the residential paradigm, and further expand into future growth areas."
