Hanwha construction division said on the 27th that its "Pet Washing Station," designed in-house, won a bronze prize at the 2025 Good Design Award.
The "Good Design Award" is Korea's most prestigious design award, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP). Since 1985, it has conducted comprehensive evaluations of products' appearance, function, materials, and economic feasibility every year and has granted the GD (Good Design) mark to outstanding products.
The pet washing station is a multi-washing station developed so that both companion animals and people can use it conveniently. By using a "middle divider panel," it improves efficiency by allowing the depth of the basin to be adjusted according to the situation, and the back of the panel is structured to function as a washboard, enhancing practicality.
The pet washing station also received high marks for usability and safety. Non-slip treatment on the basin floor reduces the risk of pets slipping and patellar injuries. It features a special anti-fouling treatment that minimizes contamination that can occur after washing and a strainer system that prevents drain clogs caused by fur, improving convenience. In addition, by applying a pet-exclusive shower head, it minimizes noise and water pressure issues that pets may find sensitive, providing a comfortable and pleasant washing environment.
The product conveys a stable and luxurious image through the contrast of clean straight lines and soft curves. Rounded processing was applied to the front of the corners in consideration of safety, minimizing the risk of collisions and accidents. The pet washing station will be offered as an option in sales complexes such as Hanwha Forena Ulsan Mugeo and Forena The Shop Incheon City Hall Station.
Kim Min-seok, head of the architecture division at Hanwha's construction unit, said, "In line with the trend of viewing companion animals as family members, we developed a lifestyle-friendly product that both companion animals and people can use conveniently," adding, "We will continue to introduce differentiated products that can enhance the brand value of Hanwha Forena."
