Lotte Construction noted, "An unfounded tip sheet was circulated and was sensationally amplified and reproduced with claims that the construction company in question was Lotte Construction," adding, "This is an act that causes serious damage to Lotte Construction's credit."
It added, "Lotte Construction filed a complaint on the 26th against the original rumor writer and those who circulated it on charges of credit damage," and said, "We will respond strongly to any spreading of false information that occurs going forward."
LOTTE Corporation also said, "The contents of an anonymous tip sheet mentioning the rehabilitation of Lotte Construction are not true," adding, "LOTTE Corporation will take strong legal action, including filing a police complaint against the author of the tip sheet and those who spread it, together with Lotte Construction."
That day, through social media (SNS), a tip sheet spread in the industry claiming that a major construction firm, one whose name alone is widely known, would soon enter rehabilitation, and warning that a second Legoland crisis was a concern. In particular, it was amplified and reproduced with claims that the company was Lotte Construction.
