The IFLA awards, joined by member countries from more than 80 nations, are considered the most prestigious in the field of landscape architecture.

For this award, DK Asia submitted the landscape of Singeomdan Royal Park City II, Beyond Green: Singeomdan Resort City. At its core is the world's first 5D landscape that adds the concept of time. By adding the flow of time to the existing five-senses landscape of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste, residents can experience changes in seasons and time within the complex, a DK Asia official said.

It modernly reinterpreted Villa d'Este, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Tivoli, Italy, and applied the mulching technique, inspired by the formative beauty of Renaissance architecture, to realize enduring permanence and perfected maintenance that do not change with the passage of time. Through a meticulous harmony of water, trees, stone, and color, it completed a landscape where nature and art blend.

In Singeomdan Royal Park City II, a 430-meter (m) sculptural waterway flows along Royal Canal Avenue, the central axis of the complex. For the first time among domestic apartments, two tea houses were connected to create a 55 m Canal Walk. The waterway running through the complex was designed to go beyond a simple scenic element and serve as a legacy of Roman humanities symbolizing abundance and beauty, life and harmony, allowing people to feel the breath and sensibility of nature even in the city.

Along with 100 fountains, a European-style sculptural fountain measuring 7 m high and 12 m wide, the largest within a domestic apartment complex, was also installed. Throughout the complex, grand large trees such as fragrant olive, pine, zelkova, northern red oak, and hackberry, and medium-sized trees such as red maple, golden euonymus, black bamboo, and camellia sasanqua harmonize to present a landscape that stands out for its balance and sophistication.

Rare specialty trees such as fragrant olive, camellia, red photinia, crape myrtle, and bamboo, sourced from the southern regions, were placed throughout the complex, and a variety of herbaceous flowers such as roses, hydrangeas, begonias, alliums, and pink muhly were planted to create a four-season garden that changes with each season. With a tree density more than three times that of ordinary apartments per unit area, the entire complex is filled with the vitality of a lush forest.

To complete the landscape of Singeomdan Royal Park City II as a world-class landscape work, DK Asia invested the highest level of landscaping construction costs in Korea. The amount invested is at least 3.8 million won per 3.3㎡ (pyeong).

A DK Asia official explained that landscaping construction costs for new town apartments generally remain in the 1 million won per 3.3㎡ range.

A DK Asia official said, "In the case of high-end reconstruction complexes in the Gangnam area, such as One Bailey, Maple Xi, and Acro River Park, the cost is 1.6 million to 1.9 million won per 3.3㎡," adding, "Given that, Singeomdan Royal Park City II's landscaping construction costs are more than 200% to 250% higher."

Chairman Kim Jeong-mo of DK Asia said, "Based on a true 5D landscape philosophy in which nature, art, and residents' lives are in perfect harmony, we will continue constant innovation and leading investment," adding, "We will firmly establish Royal Park City as a high-end residential brand where healthy rest and everyday life become healing."
