Seoul Housing and Urban Development Corporation (SH) said on the 21st that it was designated on the 20th as the public implementer for the public redevelopment project in Bon-dong, Dongjak District, Seoul.
The Bon-dong public redevelopment project will overhaul 51,696 square meters of aging low-rise residential areas around lot No. 47 in Bon-dong, Dongjak District, into apartment complexes and community SOC facilities, consisting of 11 buildings from three floors underground to 41 floors above ground with 1,080 households. As the implementer, SH plans to systematically support the entire process, from financing and project implementation plan approval to management and disposal plan approval and completion.
SH is currently carrying out various renewal projects, including 14 public redevelopment zones, two public reconstruction zones, and two station area revitalization project zones, as well as the Sewoon 4 zone and Junggye Bon-dong.
Hwang Sang-ha, SH president, said, "We will normalize complex projects with public-sector expertise and transparency, pursue them stably, and expand the supply of dwellings," adding, "We will do our best to make this a model case of public renewal carried out with residents."
